Every item on this site is dispatched from within Australia. Personalised items are printed here. Stocked items are held in Australian warehouses. Nothing is shipped to you from overseas after you place an order.
Why we do it this way
The alternative, ordering direct from an overseas factory to your door, costs 10 to 20 days of transit, which makes a Christmas delivery date a guess rather than a promise. It also changes who carries the legal responsibility when something goes wrong, which we explain below.
Made in Australia, and made overseas
Two different things, and we do not blur them.
Printed in Australia. Our personalised sacks, stockings, ornaments and apparel are printed and finished in Australia, in Queensland and New South Wales. The blank product underneath is in some cases imported, and where that is the case we say so on the product page rather than claiming the whole item is Australian made.
Imported, warehoused in Australia. Christmas trees, decorations, lights, solar items and costumes are manufactured overseas, imported by an Australian supplier, held in an Australian warehouse and shipped to you domestically.
Who is legally responsible for a faulty product
Under the Australian Consumer Law, where goods are made overseas and the actual manufacturer has no place of business in Australia, the importer is treated as the manufacturer. For our stocked ranges that importer is our Australian supplier, not us and not a factory you cannot reach.
What that means for you in practice: you come to us. We are the supplier you bought from and we handle it. We are then entitled to recover the cost of that remedy from the manufacturer or importer, which is our problem rather than yours. You never have to chase an overseas factory.
For our personalised items, we are the manufacturer, because the item is made to your order. That responsibility sits with us directly.
Warranty
Stocked items carry a minimum 12 month supplier warranty in addition to your consumer guarantees, which are not limited by it. Consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law have no expiry date and apply for whatever period is reasonable for the type of product and the price paid.
